Recipe Monday #7: Energy Balls (Raw, V, GF)

Preparation time: 30 minutes


  1. 100g of whole almonds (¾ cup)

  2. 6 pieces of dates

  3. 2 tsp of cocoa-powder

  4. ½ tsp of lemon juice

For decorations:

You can use poppy seeds, cocoa-powder, cinnamon or pistachios. You can choose anything that comes to your mind!


  1. Soak the almonds in water for 2 hours beforehand.

  2. Peel the almonds. Grind them in the blander.

  3. Add cocoa powder, lemon juice and the dates without pits to the blander. Mix it all together.

  4. Divide the resulting mass in 6 equal parts.

  5. Form the balls and roll them in the selected topping. Alternatively, you can melt dark chocolate and dip the balls in it.

  6. Place the balls on the plate, lined with the parchment paper, and put them in the freezer for one hour.

  7. After they firmed, enjoy them straight away or keep them in the fridge for later!
